Big Knit Love

When the cold comes, I love big knits. Anything oversized makes my heart skip a beat anyway, but this fuzzy number from H&M especially. Paired with ripped jeans and this ice blue coat makes this #ootd the perfect for a packed day. The fur bucket back is always fun an super handy! Just because life …

Crop It Like Its Hot

We are thanking the fashion gods for the rise of the cropped trend, because the recent spike in temperatures in Calgary (which we are NOT complaining about) has mandated shorter pants and even shorter shirts. Also – I had so much fun with this side-braid half-up-do; it was surprisingly simple and more importantly fun to do! Try it out and tell us what you think.

Summer Whites

When the suns out, the legs come out to play (and get a seriously necessary tan!) – although it should be noted that we are big believers in appropriate and healthy amounts of Vitamin D. But nothing makes you look more tan then crispy, barely there white separates. Can we get an amen?

Spring Blossoms

Nothing is more exciting about the arrival of Spring then pulling out all the rosy coloured pieces that perfectly match the gorgeous blossoming trees! Easy, breezy and fun – that is definitely our mission lately. It keeps life fun and care-free, or at least as care-free as is possible. But how can you not be in fluttering mood when these fairytale like trees are around you, a breeze is blowing and the sun in shining? #LovingSpring

H Town, Coming Down

Who said plaid was just for lumberjacks and hipsters? Anything can be truly worn by anyone, as long as you feel inspired enough to try it. Inspiration for this look came from a single chorus in a very infamous song by our favourite Beyoncé. I been on, now who gon’ take me down? Okay maybe it wasn’t from the chorus but actually from the visuals, but music is so powerful that it can really resonate with you, no?

What a Wicked Game

Sometimes when you’re cold and it supposed to be springtime, there is no need to fight or defer – just give in and rock a huge sweater with your go-to fur stole. Or, at least thats what we do here at the KC Headquarters!

Cherry Blossom Kimono

Is it official yet? Is it finally Spring? Are we allowed to rock open toed shoes and an easy breezy kimono instead of chunky boots and three layers of coats? Can you tell we love our warmer temperatures? We think in a previous life, we were probably rainforest flowers or some other exotic creature who thrives in warm humid conditions. Its a beautiful Saturday out there, what are you up to?

Fringe Benefits

Are you also hooked on the latest “fringe” trend? From the fashion runway to everyday streets, Valentino, Michael Kors, Mackage and Rebecca Minkoff are only a few names who have showed us how to “fringe it up”. Any simple look can instantly be transformed by adding a fringe bag or necklace. Fringe is fun and girly – it can just add that little bit of excitement to an outfit. For one who is a little more brave fringe jackets or skirts are also very fun and fashionable.

Lone Desert

“Internationally sourced” is no understatement, our Stylists come from two different continents, and have elected a third continent (North America) as their primary residence right now. And you know how they say you eventually pick up and blend into the spaces you choose to live? Well I think we are representing “Cow Town” pretty well here. Have you ever seen a more stylish cowgirl?

Teddy Bears Collide

Cold & windy Toronto called for this layered and fuzzy look to keep the warmth in and the style out, so to speak. This skirt was another major find in Amsterdam back in 2013, and it always seems to catch attention and somehow works for both daywear and evening. This was the last from WMCFW and the faux-bob effect with the hood and the hair is pretty cool, no?
