Poncho Show

Fall is here! I hate giving up my favourite summer pieces, but by layering maybe we don’t have to? I’m wearing one of my favourite summer dresses with lace detailing, combined with a sleek leather jacket and a poncho. There are many options like chunky cardigans or fur (or faux fur) vests to still be …

The Brooklyn Shades

There is actually no double-meaning behind this article title – we really just bought these glasses from a little boutique in Brooklyn last week, and they are an instant favourite. Paired here with this nautical-inspired look, they were very necessary in the sunny but cold midtown New York City.

Living the #SaksLife

On the long list of Must See/Must Try/Must Shop while in New York City, Saks Fifth Avenue ranked highly. And for good reason. This luxury department store has been featured in numerous films, shows and novels as a pivotal fashion institute of Manhattan, and flanks the luxurious Fifth Avenue shopping district. It might have been cold, but our hearts were warm as we walked through the historic building and soaked in all the FASHION.

Silk Flowers on my Dress

Today’s fashion world loves to juxtapose old-standing ideals of beauty and design, and this piece from Lord & Taylor is the perfect example of the same. Who would imagine a sweatshirt dress to have over-sized silk flowers on it? This was an insanely comfortable item to explore Toronto’s Bloor Street in, and best of all, it was cozy against the chilly winds of Ontario. Win win in our books!

Coffee For One

The one thing we definitely had time for in Toronto during WMCFW was coffee – on-the-go, in our rooms, with every meal, and as a stand alone meal. The best part was that Toronto was offering the new Starbucks La Boulange collection – pretty pastries and dainty new packaging with a very French feel. Our very own @Mon_Mode decided to take a cue from Boulange and dress the part.

Cookie Monster Coat

For the second day of WMCFW looks, we knew that the chilling winds of Toronto would be no match for this faux-fur shaggy blue and grey coat. Not only did it catch attention, it also scared away the winds because the rest of Day 2 was pleasant and totally bearable! Also, these Shelly London platforms we scored yesterday at a boutique on Queen Street in Toronto’s downtown are not only a life-saver after yesterday’s full day of walking (and in heels!) but also a prominent style staple.

Welcome To Toronto!

We landed in Toronto at 6:45 am via the red-eye from Calgary, and although the flight was bumpy and sleep was hard to come by, being in this vibrant city has suddenly energized us both and we are ready for a day of exploring!
