Tackle the Concrete Jungle

This deep olive green is often hard to experiment outside of whites or blacks, but the best option is to find a similar toned top and shoe, and have fun with minimal accessories. Also, how fun is the half top knot bun thing? Easy, breezy and ready to tackle the concrete jungle with these sateen cargo pants.

Feeling Palm-y

We are obsessed with this recent LA-rivalling weather we are getting to experience here in “cold” Canada. It calls for strappy Michael Kors sandals, a balmy palm-y dress and a mini cross-body from Marc by Marc Jacobs! We usually appreciate the cooler weather (for its layering and lengths capabilities), but we are not complaining about the recent heat wave!

H&M x Coachella

We know Coachella is far behind us, but #FestivalSeason is here and now, and we can’t help but embrace the fun, boho-chic trend, especially when H&M is now selling their Coachella pieces on sale! This gorgeous lace crochet cardigan was a steal of a deal, and it really inspired us to pretend we were in California vibin’ out at the main stage!

Girl About Town

I’m sure by now you’ve noticed a general theme – we are all about white this season! Be it in pants, in dresses, in separates, in shoes or in bags, we are obsessed with white. Its so easy to make a striking look with this relatively “boring” non-colour, don’t you think?

Totally Blushing!

We finally found the perfect pair of white summer pumps – they go with everything! And especially today (my birthday!), they were my go-to pair to rock with this pastel coloured neoprene number – one of my favourites. And when its your special day, don’t ever hesitate to crown yourself like the queen that you are. I know it did!

H Town, Coming Down

Who said plaid was just for lumberjacks and hipsters? Anything can be truly worn by anyone, as long as you feel inspired enough to try it. Inspiration for this look came from a single chorus in a very infamous song by our favourite Beyoncé. I been on, now who gon’ take me down? Okay maybe it wasn’t from the chorus but actually from the visuals, but music is so powerful that it can really resonate with you, no?

Cherry Blossom Kimono

Is it official yet? Is it finally Spring? Are we allowed to rock open toed shoes and an easy breezy kimono instead of chunky boots and three layers of coats? Can you tell we love our warmer temperatures? We think in a previous life, we were probably rainforest flowers or some other exotic creature who thrives in warm humid conditions. Its a beautiful Saturday out there, what are you up to?

Fringe Benefits

Are you also hooked on the latest “fringe” trend? From the fashion runway to everyday streets, Valentino, Michael Kors, Mackage and Rebecca Minkoff are only a few names who have showed us how to “fringe it up”. Any simple look can instantly be transformed by adding a fringe bag or necklace. Fringe is fun and girly – it can just add that little bit of excitement to an outfit. For one who is a little more brave fringe jackets or skirts are also very fun and fashionable.

Do A Little Dance

We all need to have the piece in our closet that makes us happy, makes us want to dance, and reminds us to never take “fashion” too seriously – it should be fun, make us feel good, and help us to transform ourselves to the be the best version of ourselves for the world. And you would dance too if after the many months of winter, the sun was shining once again!

Bundled Up In Gotham

Despite how beautiful, inspiring, enticing, exciting and invigorating New York City was, it was also another amazing verb: COLD. The sun may be shining here, but we truly bundled ourselves well before we stepped out into Manhattan, and usually that meant a minimum of three layers of clothing. But as they say, Fall is usually the favourite month of fashionites (not only because of Fashion Month) because they get to layer, layer and layer! So no, we weren’t complaining too much. And how could we? The sounds of taxis, the hustle of Manhattanites, the chilly wind – it was all part of our NYC experience.
