Cherry Blossom Kimono

Is it official yet? Is it finally Spring? Are we allowed to rock open toed shoes and an easy breezy kimono instead of chunky boots and three layers of coats? Can you tell we love our warmer temperatures? We think in a previous life, we were probably rainforest flowers or some other exotic creature who thrives in warm humid conditions. Its a beautiful Saturday out there, what are you up to?

The Micro Bag

Have you also noticed the latest craze in handbags? The “micro” bag is exactly what it sounds like – your favourite shape of purse in a miniature version! Designers like Celine and Fendi have pioneered this trend for a few seasons, and have (inevitably) inspired many others. We found this amazing Coach “Mini-Bag” in the hottest Spring colour, white. Neutrals are this springs must wear “colours” and nothing goes with all your Spring looks like a fresh white bag, and micro at that!

Fringe Benefits

Are you also hooked on the latest “fringe” trend? From the fashion runway to everyday streets, Valentino, Michael Kors, Mackage and Rebecca Minkoff are only a few names who have showed us how to “fringe it up”. Any simple look can instantly be transformed by adding a fringe bag or necklace. Fringe is fun and girly – it can just add that little bit of excitement to an outfit. For one who is a little more brave fringe jackets or skirts are also very fun and fashionable.

Casual Fridays

This is definitely one of my go-to casual looks. Boyfriend jeans paired with a blazer and to add some spice I pull out a hat and a pop-colour purse. The “boyfriend-trend” has been around for some time now, but I know for me it will stay long after the “trend” has died. It is not only comfortable, it is also a style statement when no one is expecting you to look put together. Of course there is many interpretations of the “boyfriend-trend” and this is only one of my renditions. Whats your favourite “Casual Friday” look?

Lone Desert

“Internationally sourced” is no understatement, our Stylists come from two different continents, and have elected a third continent (North America) as their primary residence right now. And you know how they say you eventually pick up and blend into the spaces you choose to live? Well I think we are representing “Cow Town” pretty well here. Have you ever seen a more stylish cowgirl?

Do A Little Dance

We all need to have the piece in our closet that makes us happy, makes us want to dance, and reminds us to never take “fashion” too seriously – it should be fun, make us feel good, and help us to transform ourselves to the be the best version of ourselves for the world. And you would dance too if after the many months of winter, the sun was shining once again!

Black & White Flatforms

There’s no better footwear option to run around New York in then an elevated platform loafer – especially ones from one of our newest favourite footwear designers Shelly’s London! And did we mention we scored these on sale whilst in Toronto last week? Double win.

The Brooklyn Shades

There is actually no double-meaning behind this article title – we really just bought these glasses from a little boutique in Brooklyn last week, and they are an instant favourite. Paired here with this nautical-inspired look, they were very necessary in the sunny but cold midtown New York City.

Living the #SaksLife

On the long list of Must See/Must Try/Must Shop while in New York City, Saks Fifth Avenue ranked highly. And for good reason. This luxury department store has been featured in numerous films, shows and novels as a pivotal fashion institute of Manhattan, and flanks the luxurious Fifth Avenue shopping district. It might have been cold, but our hearts were warm as we walked through the historic building and soaked in all the FASHION.

Bundled Up In Gotham

Despite how beautiful, inspiring, enticing, exciting and invigorating New York City was, it was also another amazing verb: COLD. The sun may be shining here, but we truly bundled ourselves well before we stepped out into Manhattan, and usually that meant a minimum of three layers of clothing. But as they say, Fall is usually the favourite month of fashionites (not only because of Fashion Month) because they get to layer, layer and layer! So no, we weren’t complaining too much. And how could we? The sounds of taxis, the hustle of Manhattanites, the chilly wind – it was all part of our NYC experience.
