Teddy Bears Collide

Teddy Bears Collide

Cold & windy Toronto called for this layered and fuzzy look to keep the warmth in and the style out, so to speak. This skirt was another major find in Amsterdam back in 2013, and it always seems to catch attention and somehow works for both daywear and evening. This was the last from WMCFW and the faux-bob effect with the hood and the hair is pretty cool, no?

Hilary MacMillan Fall/Winter 2015 Studio Presentation

Hilary MacMillan Fall/Winter 2015 Studio Presentation

This beautiful and well thought out collection by Hilary was amongst our top 3 at WCMFW this circuit. The styling was on point, the hair / make-up just effortless enough, the live band added the right amount of cool calm – but the most important, of course, were the clothes. Beautiful separates in whites, blacks and nudes, with pops of red. The right amount of fur and leather met soft and delicate lace. We were transported to a cold day (with snow on the runway) when you’re in between airports, where comfort and practicality meets chic and sophisticated.

Cookie Monster Coat

Cookie Monster Coat

For the second day of WMCFW looks, we knew that the chilling winds of Toronto would be no match for this faux-fur shaggy blue and grey coat. Not only did it catch attention, it also scared away the winds because the rest of Day 2 was pleasant and totally bearable! Also, these Shelly London platforms we scored yesterday at a boutique on Queen Street in Toronto’s downtown are not only a life-saver after yesterday’s full day of walking (and in heels!) but also a prominent style staple.

Jailhouse Blues

Jailhouse Blues

Nothing says hello I have arrived to Fashion Week like this all-striped look. As we made our way down King Street West in Toronto, we literally heard people say “oh they must be going to Fashion Week” as we walked past them. Of course, we took this as a compliment and (in a very rainy Toronto) continued onwards to David Pecaut Square where all of the magic of WMCFW happens.
